 LaPluma Coffee & Wine was born from the shared dream of Iliana and Dany: two hearts, two cultures, and one deep-rooted love for community.

Iliana, originally from El Salvador, brings a lifelong passion for food, shaped by rich family traditions and the vibrant flavors of her homeland. Dany, from Guatemala, has always believed in the power of connection, how a good conversation over a warm drink or a shared meal can bring people together.

LaPluma is the intersection of those passions: a space where culture, community, and comfort meet.

The name LaPluma- meaning "the feather"- was inspired by their faith. To Iliana and Dany, the feather represents protection, resilience, courage, and strength. It’s a reminder that even the lightest things can carry us through the heaviest moments. It symbolizes the spirit they’ve poured into every part of this place.

Together, they created LaPluma to share the warmth of their roots with the community they now call home. Every dish, every cup of coffee, and every glass of wine is an invitation to gather, to connect, and to feel a little more at home.
